According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, to ensure traffic safety during the construction of the TH2 pillar of the Thu Duc station pedestrian bridge on metro line 1, the unit agreed to adjust the traffic organization plan in the Thu Duc steel overpass area.

Accordingly, trucks over 5 tons and semi-trailers are prohibited from traveling on the Thu Duc steel overpass in the direction from Thu Duc intersection to Saigon bridge. Alternative route: Hanoi Highway - side road of Thu Duc steel overpass Vo Nguyen Giap.
At the same time, the maximum speed limit on the Thu Duc steel overpass (traffic direction from Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City) will be reduced from 60km/h to 40km/h during the construction of TH2 pillar. The adjustment location will start from the middle of the Thu Duc steel overpass.
Install alternative route guidance signs for vehicles on Hanoi Highway (before reaching Thu Duc steel overpass) so that drivers can easily recognize them.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport requested the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board to coordinate with the Thu Duc City Technical Infrastructure Development Center and Hanoi Highway Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company to relocate the technical infrastructure system in the area according to the plan approved by the Department of Transport.
In addition, the Road Traffic Infrastructure Management Center is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Transport Inspectorate to inspect and urge the Urban Railway Management Board to fully implement the plan before erecting the construction barrier. After having a plan to ensure traffic safety, the Department of Transport will officially grant a permit for construction.
Thu Duc Intersection is the intersection between Hanoi Highway - Vo Nguyen Giap and Le Van Viet - Vo Van Ngan Street (connecting Thu Duc District and old District 9). This is an intersection with very high traffic volume.
Since the steel overpass (Ha Noi Highway - Vo Nguyen Giap route) was put into operation, this bridge only allows cars to pass, reducing traffic pressure in the area. However, serious traffic jams still occasionally occur during rush hour.
Prohibiting trucks over 5 tons and semi-trailers from traveling on the Thu Duc steel overpass, only allowing traffic on the side of the bridge, may cause more serious traffic jams in the future.
