Cambodia continues to create conditions for Vietnamese people to stabilize their lives.

Prime Minister Hun Manet agreed to continue creating conditions for people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia to stabilize their lives and integrate into the local community, during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .

On the morning of March 6, in Melbourne, Australia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on the occasion of attending the Special Summit to celebrate 50 years of ASEAN-Australia relations.

The Vietnamese government leader congratulated Cambodia on the successful organization of the Senate election, saying that the election results affirmed the role and leadership position of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP). The Prime Minister sent his congratulations to President Hun Sen and senior leaders of the CPP.

The two leaders agreed to enhance the effectiveness of economic-trade-investment cooperation; promote connectivity between the two economies, especially transport connectivity. The two sides will continue to coordinate to effectively implement existing agreements and mechanisms on defense and security.

Vietnam and Cambodia agreed to make efforts to resolve about 16% of unfinished border demarcation and marker planting to build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and sustainable development.

Prime Minister Hun Manet agreed to continue to care for and create conditions for people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia to stabilize their lives, integrate into the local community, and serve as a bridge of friendship between the two countries. Cambodia also continues to facilitate Vietnamese businesses investing in Cambodia and proposed increasing the frequency of flights between the two countries to enhance tourism and trade connections.

The two Prime Ministers affirmed that they will continue to cooperate closely between the two countries as well as with Laos and Thailand to connect transportation, connect tourism, and exploit the tourism potential of the countries.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is on a working trip to attend the Special Summit to celebrate 50 years of ASEAN-Australia relations and pay an official visit to Australia from March 5 to 9.
