According to Mr. Vo Van Dung - Head of Tra Cu Hamlet, Thuan Nghia Hoa Commune, Thanh Hoa District, Long An Province, building a new countryside is a long process, requiring patience and closeness to the people. Therefore, wherever there is difficulty in the hamlet, Mr. Dung is there. He accompanies the people to overcome difficulties. Whatever the people do not understand, he goes to each house to explain; whatever the people are reluctant to contribute, he takes the lead in mobilizing.

Mr. Dung was born in 1965 in a family with a revolutionary tradition . His father was a martyr, his mother was a war invalid, and his paternal and maternal grandmothers were both Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. These examples became a torch to light the way, nurturing in him a sense of responsibility, resilience, and the will to strive for the collective.

After nearly 20 years as Hamlet Chief, his devoted image has become familiar to the people. In the process of building new rural areas , Mr. Dung pays special attention to traffic infrastructure. "I think that if we want people's lives to improve, first of all, the roads must be completed, bright, green, clean, and beautiful" - Mr. Dung shared.

In 2024, he mobilized people and philanthropists to contribute electricity poles to install 68 solar lights to light up the roads, with a total value of more than 350 million VND. In 2024 and 2025, he also mobilized people to repair degraded road sections and upgrade bridge ramps with a total cost of nearly 70 million VND, of which people contributed more than 20 million VND.

Not only infrastructure, he also focused on promoting production development. Thanks to his efforts, people in the hamlet boldly applied high technology to produce 220 hectares of sticky rice. Many households changed their crop structure according to the direction of the agricultural sector with more than 56 hectares of yellow apricot, lemon, pineapple, jackfruit, etc., contributing to increasing income and stabilizing people's lives.

Every year, he coordinates the mobilization of more than 300 gifts to support the poor and near-poor. From 2024 to now, the hamlet has also organized a rotation of giving 5 gifts each month to 11 vulnerable groups. In addition, 78 policy households in the area are all cared for properly and adequately according to regulations, especially on holidays and Tet.

With these contributions, he received 3 certificates of merit, more than 30 certificates of merit at the commune and district levels and is being proposed to the Provincial People's Committee to award a certificate of merit for his achievements in 3 consecutive years of excellently completing his tasks./.
