In addition to the newly built items, the Temple of Heroic Martyrs in Ke Go Lake also preserves the relic of a shrine built in 2011. The Temple of Heroic Martyrs in Ke Go Lake was recognized as a provincial historical relic by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh Province in 2014. On both sides of the temple are engraved the parallel sentences: "The heroic feats of the land of Ke Go echo with the heroic epic - The legend of the Hai Hai road is famous for its heroic relics".

It is expected that on April 28, VietnamFinance Investment Magazine in collaboration with the Management Board of Ke Go Nature Reserve will inaugurate the second phase of the Martyrs' Temple Project at Ke Go Lake. Accordingly, the panoramic profile of the Ke Go front - Libi airport in the past will be recreated through books, websites, documentaries, etc. The profile of each individual martyr will also be detailed to ensure the solemnity of long-term worship activities.

During the resistance war against the US, the Ke Go lake area was a fierce battlefield. Here, our army built the Libi field airport and routes 21 and 22 in a secret plan to create a new traffic artery to support the southern battlefield.

These works mark the achievements and silent sacrifices of cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers and local people. In particular, fierce raids by the US Air Force took place at Libi airport on the morning of September 2, 1968 and the night of January 7, 1973, causing many casualties among the Northern military and civilians, taking the lives of many soldiers, defense workers and completely destroying the Libi field airport.

Peace was restored in 1976, the State started the construction of Ke Go Lake to promote agricultural development. Ke Go Lake was completed and began to accumulate water, the old front gradually sank into the lake.

In 2011, during a visit to Ke Go Lake, a delegation of officials from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport raised a sum of money and handed it over to the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board to establish a place to worship heroic martyrs right at the former front. From here, memorial activities were carried out more regularly, and the scale of the shrine was also expanded to become the Temple of Heroic Martyrs at Ke Go Lake.
