These days, people of Can Dang commune are busy cleaning the roads, hanging the national flag, and at the same time, there are many activities to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and revolutionary soldiers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation. The local Party Committee and government also launched patriotic emulation movements to achieve achievements in welcoming the 1st Congress of Can Dang commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Coming to Can Dang, we feel the new look of the countryside. The socio-economic development is stable. Infrastructure, bridges, and rural roads are built and improved. Political security, order, and social safety are stable; the material and spiritual life of the people is improved.

Secretary of the Can Dang Commune Party Committee Tran Tan Phuong said: “After the country's reunification, the Party Committee, government and people of the commune made efforts to overcome difficulties, unite, join hands to build the homeland, gradually develop in the fields of economy , culture, society... That achievement comes from the consensus, solidarity and efforts of the entire political system and the people, creating motivation for the locality to continue to unite, unify, and strive to develop the economy - society, improve the material and spiritual life of the people".

To develop the economy, Can Dang commune focuses on vocational training associated with job introduction for rural workers. Every year, the commune coordinates with sectors to organize vocational training classes, transfer science and technology, support production development to help poor households have more jobs, increase income through effective farming and livestock models. The commune actively supports people to convert ineffective rice growing areas to growing vegetables and fruit trees to increase land turnover, increase the value of 1 hectare of agricultural land. The total annual planting area reaches more than 15,704 hectares, the yield reaches 6.7 tons/ha, the output reaches more than 103,830 tons. The area converted from rice growing land to growing fruit trees is 115 hectares; the area for growing vegetables is nearly 70 hectares. The rate of multidimensional poverty in the commune has decreased to 1.69%. The average income of the commune is 74 million VND/person/year.

Promoting the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit", the commune has mobilized resources to invest in building infrastructure, especially public welfare works to serve the people. The inter-hamlet and inter-commune roads are paved with asphalt or concrete. Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh, residing in Hoa Loi 2 hamlet, excitedly said: "Now, the appearance of the countryside has changed a lot compared to before! Electricity, roads, schools, and stations have been invested by the State, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and transport goods. Currently, farmers are more prosperous thanks to access to preferential loans and the application of scientific and technological advances in production."

The local government has always paid attention to and implemented the work of gratitude and social security fully, promptly, to the right subjects and in accordance with the regime. Every year, on holidays and Tet, the commune government organizes visits and presents gifts to families with meritorious services. The work of mobilizing funds for the poor and social security funds has increasingly spread widely in society. Specifically, in the past 5 years, the commune has mobilized more than 21 billion VND, thereby building and repairing 16 new houses for families with meritorious services and people with meritorious services; building 98 solidarity houses; completing 100% of the program target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, with 57 houses. Happy to receive support from the local government to build gratitude houses, Mr. Tran Van Nam, residing in Can Thoi hamlet, shared: "Living in a new, spacious house, my family is very excited and grateful to the local government and benefactors. Having a new, solid house, my family can do business with peace of mind," Mr. Nam happily said.
