At the Conference, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of the Founding Council of VINASA shared that the Vietnam - Asia Smart City Conference 2023 was held at a time when Vietnam has many resources to shine and Hanoi will be the brightest spot in building an ecosystem of artificial intelligence and chips.
On that basis, Smart City is the decisive factor and Hanoi is the capital with the role of leading other localities in green growth, core technology, artificial intelligence and semiconductors. To do this, Hanoi must have a specific mechanism and outstanding policies to carry out the tasks. Besides, Hanoi needs to take the lead in training new human resources.
“Hanoi is not only a Smart City for itself, but also a city that creates hardware, software, and human resources to make cities in the region, leading the way in green transformation. This is an essential condition to join the semiconductor technology, creating opportunities for information technology companies to have more opportunities to develop”, Chairman of the Founding Council of VINASA suggested.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of VINASA Founding Council spoke at the conference.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said that smart urban development is a continuous and long-term process, so it requires a long-term, comprehensive vision and a holistic approach, not just focusing on the technological aspect. Just like digital transformation, it is more of a change in thinking and awareness. Smart urban development is about building a modern and effective urban development and operation method based on the application of innovative and creative technologies, not a separate set of systems and applications of specialized agencies because urban issues are closely related to each other.
"It is necessary to consider urban information infrastructure, digital infrastructure and especially data infrastructure as essential urban infrastructure, as the foundation for smartening other technical infrastructures and socio-economic infrastructures. A strong, unified and secure information infrastructure is the foundation for building digital government, digital economy and digital society in urban space," said Mr. Dung .
