Male technology car driver receives reward for stopping fight

District 1 Police (HCMC) have commended a male driver for his bravery in stopping a fight on Le Duan Street on the evening of December 31.

On the afternoon of January 2, District 1 Police (HCMC) unexpectedly rewarded Mr. HHV (a technology motorbike taxi driver) for his brave action in preventing a public disorder on the night of December 31, 2024.

Colonel Nguyen Hai Phuoc, Chief of District 1 Police, awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. HHV.

According to District 1 Police, at around 11:30 p.m. on December 31, 2024, Mr. TAP (born in 1995, residing in Lam Dong province) was driving a car carrying his wife on Le Duan Street (District 1) when he saw a traffic jam ahead, so he turned the car around to go in another direction.

When Mr. P turned the car around, he saw Nguyen Van Dung (born in 1969) driving a car carrying his common-law wife, Bui Thi Ngoc Anh (born in 1971, living in District 1) coming from behind.

It is worth mentioning that Dung did not let Mr. P turn the car around but cursed and intentionally blocked the car from turning around, so the two sides argued. After that, Dung rushed in and beat Mr. P and his wife.

Subject Bui Thi Ngoc Anh violently attacked the male driver.

At that time, Mr. HHV was driving a passenger and saw the injustice so he stopped his car to intervene. However, Dung and Ngoc Anh cursed and assaulted Mr. V, causing him to collapse on the road.

Immediately afterwards, District 1 Police urgently arrested Dung and Ngoc Anh to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order".

At the same time, it was determined that Mr. HHV had a brave spirit, was not afraid of danger, and stood up to prevent the illegal acts of Dung and Ngoc Anh. This is a beautiful act of a citizen that needs to be spread in society. Therefore, District 1 Police promptly proposed that District 1 People's Committee award a certificate of merit to Mr. V.
