In recent days, due to prolonged heavy rains and strong winds, more than 1,763 hectares of ripening rice in Vinh Long have fallen over, causing damage of 5-10%; the most affected area is in Long Ho district with an area of more than 1,504 hectares, estimated damage of about 8.2 billion VND.
