The above information was given at the press conference of the national motorcycle racing tournament for the Caltex Havoline Cub Prix Cup, round 3 in Can Tho City, taking place on the afternoon of August 27.
The tournament was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City in coordination with the Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sports Federation and Phuoc Tram Phu Quoc Company Limited, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
The press conference took place on the afternoon of August 27 at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho.
The organizers said the tournament had the participation of 67 athletes from 40 clubs in 11 provinces and cities across the country, including: An Giang, Bac Lieu, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City, Tra Vinh , Vinh Long and Can Tho.
Athletes compete in 4 categories, including: professional category 2-stroke Yaz 125cc, semi-professional category 4-stroke Exciter 150cc, amateur category 2-stroke Suzuki Sport 120cc and Honda Wave 110. In which, the amateur category Honda Wave 110 is added for the first time, a new point of the tournament, with the competition of 16 athletes.
The tournament gathered 67 athletes from 11 provinces and cities across the country.

The qualifying round will be divided into groups by drawing lots, and athletes from the same team (or group) will not meet each other. In the second round and semi-finals, no more than 2 athletes from the same team will meet each other in the same group. If there are 3-4 athletes in a group, the 1st and 2nd place will be selected to advance to the next round.
Regarding the competition format, the professional system runs 8 laps in the qualifying round and semi-finals, and 10 laps in the final round. In the remaining systems, athletes will compete 2 laps less.
Athletes will compete in 4 categories: Yaz, Exciter, Suzuki Sport and Honda Wave

The national motorcycle race officially started at 1:30 p.m. on September 2nd at Can Tho Stadium. The total prize for the athletes is 125 million VND. In addition, there will be a lucky draw for the audience, the special prize is a Wave motorbike, the first prize is a 43-inch TV.
