Danang Port honored by VIMC as a typical advanced and excellent collective

DNVN - At the 5th patriotic emulation conference for workers, civil servants and laborers recently held by Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) and the Corporation's Trade Union on June 26, Da Nang Port and 4 Port workers were honored as typical examples.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, in the context of many fluctuations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical conflicts and fluctuations in logistics costs, VIMC has promoted restructuring, streamlining the apparatus and comprehensive digital transformation. Emulation movements such as "Freeing fast trains", "Kaizen continuous improvement", "Synchronous digital transformation" ... have been effective, with more than 2,500 initiatives generating a profit of over 150 billion VND and 900 rewards, mainly for direct workers.

With nearly 23,000 employees, VIMC maintains an impressive growth rate: transport output reaches 227%, revenue 157%, profit 243% compared to the plan. The enterprise has been in the Top 3 state-owned enterprises with the highest ROE, ROA for many consecutive years, was honored in the Top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam 2024 and received the Second Class Labor Medal in 2025.

The conference had an exchange with three typical individuals representing the core forces of VIMC. Through direct sharing from production, operation and management practices, the exchange clearly reflected the process of spreading and practicing the core values ​​in VIMC's corporate culture - "Discipline, consensus, creativity, dedication, integrity" - from the wharf to the deck, from operation to construction, contributing to creating overall efficiency in the whole system.

The conference also honored 87 typical and advanced collectives and individuals - those who have contributed to spreading the spirit of emulation, creativity, dedication and responsibility throughout the system. Of which, 35 outstanding collectives and individuals were directly honored.

As a seaport unit of the VIMC system, Da Nang Port has had outstanding achievements and has been recognized by VIMC at this conference. Accordingly, Da Nang Port is one of the 5 most typical advanced collectives. Chairman of Da Nang Port Trade Union Le Tan Minh is the representative of the typical collective and interacted with 2 typical individuals at the conference.

In addition, 4 employees of Da Nang Port, namely Phan Nam Hoang (Technology Department), Mai Ai Giang Son (Information Technology Department), Nguyen Thanh Ket (Tien Sa Port Enterprise) and Luong Phu Binh (Da Nang Port Logistics Joint Stock Company - Danalog) were honored by VIMC as outstanding faces.

On this occasion, VIMC also launched the emulation campaign for the 2025-2030 period with the goal of turning VIMC into a strong maritime logistics group in the region by 2030, playing a key role in Vietnam's international supply chain. The emulation movements in the coming time will continue to be deployed extensively and synchronously, associated with governance innovation, service quality improvement, digital transformation application and human resource development.
