Long An Port completes 7 wharfs and opens container handling service

This is an important milestone, affirming the strategic vision towards the goal of becoming an internationally recognized seaport in Asia. The program is an important highlight in the series of activities to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the founding of the Dong Tam brand (June 25, 1969 - June 25, 2023).

Attending the event were former Politburo member, former President - Truong Tan Sang; former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister - Truong Hoa Binh; member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - Mai Van Chinh; member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province - Nguyen Van Duoc; member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province - Nguyen Minh Lam, representing leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province.

Party and State leaders attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate Container exploitation services at Long An International Port.

Long An International Port Project Cluster with a planning area of ​​1,935 hectares in Can Giuoc district, Long An province; Industrial Park of 396 hectares; Service - Industrial Area of ​​239 hectares, Urban Area of ​​1,145 hectares and most notably, the Seaport of 147 hectares.

All are a harmonious combination of a seaport service complex, with ancillary works and utilities that are constantly invested in and expanded, bringing outstanding value to the entire area, contributing to the formation of a dynamic and modern seaport city complex in the future.
