Coast Guard 4 seized about 300,000 liters of smuggled oil in two consecutive days

On July 27 and 28, officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 4 arrested two ships carrying about 300,000 liters of illegal DO oil in the Southwest sea.

On the afternoon of July 28, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 said that at around 10:30 a.m. the same day, while patrolling the waters bordering Vietnam and Malaysia, the force discovered and inspected fishing boat QB 96679 TS due to suspicious signs.

The ship was captained by Mr. Vo Hoai H. (born in 1980, Dong Thap province). Mr. H. stated that the ship was carrying about 260,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving its legal origin, intended to be sold to other fishing vessels operating at sea.

The force drew up a record to temporarily detain the vehicle, sealed the goods and escorted the ship to the port of Squadron 421/Flight Division 42 in Nam Can commune, Ca Mau province for investigation and handling.

Previously, on July 27, Coast Guard Region 4 also seized a ship illegally transporting about 40,000 liters of DO oil in the Southwest sea.
