Couple calmly 'hangs' themselves, having lunch at a height of 80 meters in front of a waterfall

An American couple shared the moment they calmly sat and ate at an outdoor table suspended about 80m above a waterfall in Brazil.

In the video , Florida native Christianna Hurt and her rapper boyfriend 'OnPointLikeOp' can be seen sipping wine and enjoying a special picnic while suspended right in front of Cascata da Sepultura, a waterfall in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The video quickly attracted thousands of views on social networks.

'You're so brave,' wrote user 'iamdianedenise'. While user 'iamcurlybae' declared: 'I'll stop eating out of fear.'

Sharing with MailOnline Travel, Christianna said she was not scared at all but instead felt excited.

The couple booked the experience through local adventure company Rota Aventura, which describes it as "a non-traditional picnic in the middle of the most beautiful waterfalls".

The pair then had to walk across a river to reach the zip-line area at the edge of the waterfall. They were then strapped into a safety harness and seated on a picnic table secured to a zip line. Rota Aventura staff then maneuvered the table along the zip line, leaving the pair suspended over the flowing water, she added.

The special meal menu includes fruit, vegetables, cheese, crackers and small sandwiches with wine.

Christianna admits: 'It only took about 15 minutes in total but the experience was more about the scenery than the quality of the food.'

This 15-minute experience costs $450, and guests can also have their memorable moments captured by drone.
