Cargill Cares Foundation's school building program began in 1996 and has built 111 schools nationwide to date.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Luan, Cargill Country Representative in Vietnam, education is a prerequisite to improve the quality of life for children and families in the communities in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, where the average income is less than one-third of the national average. This is the reason why Cargill Vietnam has decided to focus on building schools in the Northern Midlands and Mountains this year and in the coming years.
Cargill Cares Foundation is committed to completing the construction of 150 schools in rural and mountainous areas of Vietnam by 2030.
Cargill Cares Fund is sponsored by Cargill Vietnam Company Limited - a member of Cargill Group (USA) specializing in providing agricultural, food, industrial and financial products and services globally.
