Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham is currently the most expensive star in the England team and second in the world , only behind Lamine Yamal (Barcelona, 200 million euros).
In England's final match against Albania on the morning of November 17 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Bellingham started and played 84 minutes, before being replaced by Morgan Rogers.
Bellingham showed his irritation and threw his arms up in the air in protest when he was substituted by coach Thomas Tuchel. The 22-year-old superstar's actions made coach Tuchel unhappy and he bluntly criticized him in the post-match press conference.
The Guardian newspaper quoted coach Tuchel as saying: "I saw Bellingham was not happy when he left the field. I don't want to exaggerate this, but I still maintain my point of view: attitude is the key factor and you have to respect your teammates coming on the field. The decision was made by the coach and as a player, you have to accept them."
A 2-0 win over Albania helped England finish their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign top of Group K after eight wins, scoring 22 goals and conceding none.
This is a new qualifying record and gives English football fans hope of winning their first World Cup since 1966.
