A solid bridge between the Party, the government and the people

Over the past years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, truly becoming a solid bridge between the Party, the government and the people. In particular, through promoting supervision, social criticism and effectively mobilizing social resources, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has made an important contribution to consolidating the great national unity bloc, enhancing social consensus and promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

INNOVATION IN SOCIAL SUPERVISION AND CRITICISM WORK

During the 2020 - 2025 period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have promoted their core role in consolidating the great national unity bloc, practicing democracy and enhancing social consensus.

Comrade Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, presented a symbolic plaque to donate Great Unity houses to households with difficult housing circumstances.

One of the highlights is the work of supervision, social criticism, and participation in Party and government building. The voice of the Fatherland Front has truly become an effective channel to reflect the aspirations and thoughts of the people.

From monitoring the implementation of social security policies, supporting people, land management, administrative reform, to commenting on draft resolutions on socio-economic development, the Fatherland Front at all levels has demonstrated a proactive and responsible spirit.

In Thap Muoi commune, the activities of the Fatherland Front are highly appreciated by the Party Committee and the People. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, together with socio- political organizations, proactively builds a work program according to the Party Committee's resolution; periodically reports on implementation results, grasps the people's thoughts, and contributes opinions to the government in handling arising issues.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thap Muoi commune coordinated with sponsors to present Great Solidarity houses to households in difficult circumstances.

Social supervision and criticism work is carried out seriously, helping people directly participate in giving opinions on socio-economic development plans, public works, social security work and environmental protection.

Thereby, creating positive changes in life, raising community awareness and sense of responsibility of the people.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Vuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thap Muoi commune, said: “Through social supervision and criticism activities, the Fatherland Front has created a public dialogue mechanism between the government and the people on policies and guidelines that are about to be issued, adjusted to suit real life, ensuring harmony of interests for the people.

Thanks to the widespread consensus, grassroots movements such as: New rural construction, environmental protection, urban beautification, social security care, etc. all received voluntary response from the people and promoted effectiveness.

According to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels has publicly and transparently carried out more than 2,200 supervisions and criticisms, contributing ideas to government building. After supervision, the Fatherland Front always synthesizes and sends recommendations to Party committees, authorities and relevant agencies.

Most of the recommendations were received, considered and responded to promptly, demonstrating the spirit of openness and listening to the people of the local political system. Along with that, the People's Inspection Committees and Community Investment Supervision Committees closely conducted 6,433 supervisions and recommended to the authorities to handle many violations, contributing to limiting negative factors at the grassroots level in all fields. Thereby, becoming a bridge between the Party, the government and the people, contributing to bringing the Party's policies and guidelines into life.

MOBILIZING RESOURCES FOR SOCIAL SECURITY

Along with promoting the strength of great solidarity, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province also performed well the mass mobilization work, becoming a "bridge" to mobilize social resources to promote social security programs and make an important contribution to local socio-economic development.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Go Cong ward coordinated with socio-political organizations to give gifts to poor and near-poor households in the area.

In Tan Nhuan Dong commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has well implemented the motto "People know - people discuss - people do - people check - people benefit", creating consensus and strongly mobilizing resources among the people.

Thanks to that, many essential infrastructure projects have been implemented thanks to the community's cooperation. Notably, from 2020 to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has coordinated to mobilize the construction of 27 bridges, paved and upgraded 12 rural roads, lit up more than 14 km of rural roads and reinforced many landslides in the dyke in the area, with a total cost of over 13.3 billion VND. Of which, the people and benefactors contributed more than 8 billion VND, along with more than 2,100 working days...

Union members, association members and people participate in environmental protection activities through the model "Great solidarity day for the community".

Similarly in Go Cong ward, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has effectively mobilized resources from the people, businesses and religious organizations to carry out social security work.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward mobilized the construction of 25 Great Solidarity houses, helping poor and near-poor households stabilize their lives.

Faced with the prolonged drought, the Commune Fatherland Front has proactively coordinated to receive and distribute domestic water to more than 500 households in difficult circumstances, with a total quantity of over 30,890 m³ of water and many other water containers.

At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward visited and gave 6,100 gifts to the poor and families in difficult circumstances; coordinated to organize 15 free eye surgeries for 253 poor and near-poor cases.

Through social security programs, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward mobilized nearly 10 billion VND in socialized resources, making an important contribution to ensuring social security and creating a foundation for local socio-economic development.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Go Cong Ward, said: "Over the years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has always promoted its core role in mobilizing the strength of great national unity, especially in the field of social security.

Notably, proactively connecting resources among the People, businesses and religious organizations, creating a widespread support network, promptly caring for difficult circumstances.

In addition to mobilizing resources, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward is also the focal point for coordination, ensuring that all support is deployed publicly, to the right target and reaches the people when needed. These efforts contribute to spreading the spirit of "mutual love" in the community, together with local Party committees and authorities to take care of and stabilize the lives of the people.

It can be affirmed that the Fatherland Front system in the province has been making efforts and determined to innovate the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

From social supervision and criticism to social security movements and mass mobilization work, every action contributes to strengthening trust, creating consensus among the people, and promoting the socio-economic development of Dong Thap homeland.
