Phong Chau Bridge completes first pillars

(PLVN) - After a period of urgent construction, the first piers of the Phong Chau bridge project (Phu Tho province) have been basically completed.

At the Phong Chau Bridge construction site ( Phu Tho ), contractors are mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, organizing continuous construction to ensure progress. Items are deployed simultaneously, in which many bridge piers have been completed, some other piers are speeding up the construction of the body.

The first piers of Phong Chau bridge have been completed.

The bridge is constructed with reinforced concrete beams and prestressed reinforced concrete. The main bridge consists of 3 continuous beam spans, constructed using the balanced cantilever method. The abutments and piers are made of reinforced concrete and bored pile foundations. The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are designed according to the standards of a level III plain road, with a design speed of 80km/h.

The construction unit is still making efforts to ensure compliance with the project's requirements and progress.

The new bridge starts at Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district; the end point is at Van Xuan commune, Tam Nong district.

The new Phong Chau Bridge project has a total investment of more than 653 billion VND, implemented under an emergency construction order, with the Thang Long Project Management Board as the investor. Corps 12 (Truong Son Construction Corporation) was assigned to construct the project.
