Before the match between Vietnam and Syria began at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh), a fan fainted due to heatstroke. The audience shouted and called for medical help. The fan was then put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital for monitoring.
The match at Thien Truong Stadium on the evening of June 20th attracted more than 30,000 spectators to watch live. Thien Truong Stadium was full even before the match started, showing the attraction of the Vietnamese team.
