Except for a few matches featuring Messi or big teams, the FIFA Club World Cup is falling into a state of gloom in the stands.
Professional quality is one part. But one of the main reasons why spectators hesitate to buy tickets to the stadium is the "sky-high" prices at American stadiums.
According to fans, the price of a beer at Lincoln Financial Field (where Man City's first match took place) is up to 15 USD (more than 370,000 VND).
Other food and drink options are also expensive. A simple order of fries or a hamburger can cost between $12 and $18. Many international fans say they are “shocked” by the prices, compared to European stadiums where food costs are strictly controlled.
In the Bundesliga (Germany), an average beer costs only about 4–5 euros (4.5–6 USD), and the price of a sausage or bread is usually no more than 5 euros.

La Liga (Spain) or Serie A (Italy) have stadium food prices slightly higher than Bundesliga but still significantly lower than the average for major sporting events in the US.
In contrast, it is not uncommon for food and drinks to be overpriced at American sports events. A ticket to an NBA or NFL game, not including admission, can cost fans $30–40 just for a snack. MLS – the American professional soccer league – is no exception, despite its limited capacity.
At Euro 2024 hosted by Germany, fans have enjoyed free beer parties. And it is provided by sponsors or local. The price of beer here is also quite cheap, creating conditions for fans to be more enthusiastic about the football party.
