Regarding the case of "Forgery in work" that occurred at a number of high school examination councils in Thanh Hoa , up to now, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police has prosecuted 8 defendants who are principals and teachers of high schools in the area.

Previously, on July 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police ( Economic Police Department) prosecuted 6 defendants at the Examination Council of Tinh Gia 4 High School (old Nghi Son town), including Mr. Luong Tu Le, Principal of the school, Chairman of the Examination Council for 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

On August 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Province Police issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Vu Ngoc Liem (born in 1976), former principal of Ngoc Lac High School, and prosecute and order a house arrest order against Ngo Thi Tuyet (born in 1979, former teacher of Ngoc Lac High School) for the above crime of intervening and raising the score of a failed candidate to become the school's valedictorian.

According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police discovered that in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in the area, there were many candidates with unusually high exam scores, so they focused on verifying and clarifying.

Initial verification results have determined that at the Tinh Gia 4 High School Examination Council, for the 10th grade entrance exam, school year 2024-2025, a candidate's exam had been edited, erased, and had answers added to the exam.

At the Ngoc Lac High School Examination Council, there was a candidate whose test score was unusually high. Specifically, the total score of this candidate when multiplied by the coefficient was only 24.4 points, but the result published on the name and score board was 39.4 points.

According to the explanation of the Ngoc Lac High School Examination Board, the reason for the wrong score was due to the work process, work pressure, and lack of concentration, which led to the wrong score being recorded and it was not intentional.

Le Hong Phong High School (Bim Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Province) - where the incident occurred where a candidate's score was inflated from failing to being valedictorian.

Previously, on October 9, 2024, the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training (GD-DT) of Thanh Hoa province informed that it had verified the petition reflecting that candidate CTH, in examination room No. 6, Examination Council of Le Hong Phong High School (former Bim Son town, now Bim Son ward, Thanh Hoa province) had average academic performance, but the result of the entrance exam to grade 10 of high school was unusually high, becoming the valedictorian of the school.

According to the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, after receiving the feedback, the Department established an inspection team and discovered discrepancies in the exam results of candidate CTH (born 2009, registration number 721xxx) at the Examination Council of Le Hong Phong High School, Bim Son town in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

Specifically, the announced test scores of CTH candidates were: Math 8 points, Literature 8.5 points, English 6.4 points. However, after checking the test, the actual results were only Math 4.5 points, Literature 6.5 points and English 2.4 points. With these results, this candidate did not even have enough points to pass the entrance exam to Le Hong Phong High School.
