| Mrs. Tran Thi Sen has a regular health check-up. |
Currently, the Center is regularly caring for 14 elderly people, including 11 elderly people with disabilities, all of whom have extremely difficult lives. With 13 staff members, this place not only performs daily care tasks but also considers the elderly as their parents and grandparents, sticking with them every day with dedication and responsibility.
One of the highlights of the Center is the comprehensive care regimen, maintained regularly every day. Each meal for the elderly is carefully prepared by the staff, balanced in nutrition and suitable for their health condition. In addition, the elderly are also encouraged to do light exercise, chat, and limit feelings of loneliness.
In particular, medical care is given special attention with regular check-ups and regular monitoring. Thanks to this, many elderly people, despite their old age and weak health, are still able to maintain both physical and mental stability.
Mrs. Tran Thi Sen, 103 years old, has been at the Center for 24 years, shared: “The staff here are very good, taking care of me regularly. I am old and often sick, so every day someone comes to check on me. Recently, I fell and could not walk, the staff even came to bathe and clean me. Every meal is carefully prepared.” Those simple words are the clearest proof of the dedication that the staff has for the elderly.
Not only does the Center take care of daily life, it also becomes a spiritual support for lonely elderly people. On holidays and Tet, the elderly can participate in group activities, receive gifts, sing together, and recall old memories. Each activity brings a warm atmosphere, so that the elderly feel that they are still cared for and shared.
Comrade Tran Duc Chien, Director of the Ha Giang Social Work Center in Tuyen Quang province, said: "We always remind the staff at the Center to consider taking care of the elderly as taking care of their own parents. Regularly take care of every meal and sleep for the elderly here, so that they can feel the love and connection."
Thanks to this humane working motto, the Center has been bringing joy to the elderly, helping them feel cared for, shared and not forgotten. This is also a vivid proof of the respect and care of society for the elderly. Each day at the Center is not only about material care, but also about moments of sharing emotions, giving the elderly faith and motivation to live happily and healthily for the rest of their lives.
Ha Giang Social Work Center in Tuyen Quang province not only nurtures but also spreads the message of compassion, love and community responsibility. Each satisfied smile, each peaceful look of the elderly is the greatest reward for the dedication of the staff here.
