Approval to establish a council to find ways to restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne

Hue City People's Committee established a Council to assess the status and propose a plan to preserve and restore the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne.

On May 30, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a document approving the Hue City People's Committee to establish a Council to assess the status and propose a plan to preserve and repair the national treasure, the Nguyen Dynasty throne, which was broken while on display at Thai Hoa Palace, Hue Imperial City on May 24 (SGGP Newspaper reported).

The members of the council were decided by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee; the chairman of the council was held by a leader of the Hue City People's Committee. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also agreed with the list of 11 experts proposed by the Hue City People's Committee, along with the appointment of MSc. Pham Dinh Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Heritage; Dr. Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the National Museum of History; MSc. Nguyen Thi Huong Thom, Head of the Preservation Department of the National Museum of History, to participate in the above council.
