GPT Chat has become a trend of searching and discussing on many forums, in which many opinions say that it will change the world includingeducation .
In Vietnam, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference on its impact on education.
Many experts are optimistic that artificial intelligence, including GPT chat, will greatly support education and even create a new revolution in education that Vietnam needs to recognize and take advantage of the strong development of this technology trend.

In response to public interest in this topic, reporters from the Journalists & Public Opinion Newspaper spoke with expert Nguyen Song Hien, member of the Censorship Board of the International Journal of Training Research, London; member of the National Association of International Educators (NAFSA); member of the Australian Independent Education Federation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Song Hien, Chat GPT is an abbreviation of the phrase Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer. Simply put, it is an automatic question and answer tool.
This tool is built on the Large Language Model (LLM). It can perform tasks that generate linguistic content with high accuracy. The linguistic tasks that it can do well are: Providing answers to questions; Writing an essay or paragraph; Writing fictional or factual content from suggestions; Writing code; Translating text content into other languages; Summarizing or classifying text content; Analyzing text; Doing calculations ….
“So it can be seen that although Chat GPT has many superior features, it can only do certain jobs.
However, from an educational perspective, I think that this tool, besides some negative impacts when some students use it for the wrong purposes in their studies such as doing homework for others, if this tool is exploited and used positively, it will help a lot in innovating the current teaching and learning methods" - expert Nguyen Song Hien commented.
According to Mr. Nguyen Song Hien, the GPT Chat tool poses a new challenge first of all to the team of teachers and lecturers. It will eliminate passive individuals, those who are afraid of innovation and lack creativity. Especially those who teach in the traditional way of imparting knowledge in one way.
“When teachers do not research and create new knowledge to provide more detailed and accurate answers to questions from learners, this tool will certainly replace teachers.
This tool will also create a new revolution for higher education when many universities will take advantage of the superiority of this tool to teach subjects without the need for lecturers.
Subjects that only require memorization and copying. It also helps to check students' plagiarism or promote the development of critical thinking of learners" - expert Nguyen Song Hien predicted.
In response to public opinion that many social sciences and humanities will be negatively impacted by GPT chat and artificial intelligence, Mr. Nguyen Song Hien has a different view.
Accordingly, this expert believes that the birth of this tool affects not only the field of social sciences and humanities but also many other fields such as information technology, marketing, etc.
The purpose of this artificial intelligence tool is to replace humans in areas where it can do better, more efficiently and at lower cost.
However, in industries and fields that require practical experience, no matter how superior this tool is, it is difficult to replace humans, such as reporters.
Finally, he believes that the world is changing at a dizzying speed thanks to great inventions in science and technology, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
It affects every field and education is no exception. As schools move towards autonomy, the inevitable trend is to apply tools like Chat GPT to reduce the burden on lecturer salaries and even many other departments.
It also helps to gradually eliminate teachers who are afraid of innovation, lack creativity, stagnation and conservatism.
