ChatGPT accused of 'mistakes and inaccuracies'

He argued that the tool was terrible, unable to get the job done, missing important details when writing articles, and sometimes writing incorrectly. This is reminiscent of the launch of Microsoft Copilot, when many users filed complaints, citing instances of the chatbot experiencing "hallucinations" or providing incorrect responses.

According to Jimmy Wales, not only charities and non-profits like Wikipedia, but most businesses would agree that you have to be extremely cautious if you intend to place the center of your business in a technology controlled by someone else because if that technology goes in a different direction, the entire business will be affected and could be at risk.

However, Mr. Wales did not completely rule out leveraging the capabilities of AI within Wikipedia. He emphasized the need for an AI tool that could be used to identify inaccuracies in articles.
