Chelsea continued their impressive run against Tottenham Hotspur with a 1-0 win in the London derby, moving level on points with their opponents in the Premier League table.
The match started at a slower pace than usual, partly due to Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall being forced off early with a concussion. The two teams battled it out in midfield, before Chelsea gradually took the lead.
The first significant chance came in the 20th minute when Alejandro Garnacho fired a shot that forced goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario to make a save. Joao Pedro then tried his luck again but was still unable to beat the Italian.

The turning point came in the 34th minute. Moises Caicedo showed strength and determination in a challenge from Micky Van de Ven, before setting up Joao Pedro to easily score Chelsea's opening goal. The Brazilian almost had a brace before the break, but Vicario still reacted brilliantly after Malo Gusto's pass.
Tottenham only had a clear chance in the 6th minute of injury time of the first half, when Mohammed Kudus' shot forced Robert Sanchez to show his talent in saving.
In the second half, Chelsea continued to control the game, while Tottenham hardly created any significant pressure. The Blues missed the chance to double the gap when Enzo Fernandez and Reece James consecutively shot over the bar. Pedro Neto was also denied goals twice by Vicario in the final minutes.

Late substitutions did not help Tottenham improve the situation. This defeat took Thomas Frank's team to four home games without a win in the Premier League, including three losses, sparking frustration among fans.
On the contrary, Chelsea continued to show confidence when visiting Tottenham, with six wins in the last seven times in the Premier League. This result temporarily brought coach Enzo Maresca's team to the Champions League group.
