Vinh Phuc Customs Branch: Import-export tax collection reached more than 73% of the plan

To complete the target of collecting 5,400 billion VND in import-export tax in 2024, Vinh Phuc Customs Branch has promoted the implementation of professional measures to modernize the customs sector and improve the efficiency of state budget collection, preventing tax losses from import-export activities of enterprises.

The Department regularly strengthens tax management on the basis of good implementation of regulations on goods classification, tax rates, and origin of goods; post-clearance inspection of tax-exempt goods to promptly detect and handle cases of smuggling and trade fraud.

Focus on reviewing, classifying, and establishing import-export tax monitoring records for each enterprise, on that basis, taking measures to collect and recover tax debts in accordance with regulations...

As of September 30, 2024, the department has received and processed more than 360,000 import-export procedure registration declarations for enterprises inside and outside the province.

Total import-export tax revenue reached more than VND 3,964 billion, equal to 73.4% of the assigned plan, up 8% over the same period in 2023. Total import-export turnover of goods cleared through the branch in 9 months reached more than 28 billion USD with main items being components for manufacturing automobiles, motorbikes, electronic equipment; raw materials for processing, manufacturing textile and mechanical products...
