GRDP growth rate reaches 10%/year

The general goal is that by 2030, Dong Nai will become a civilized, modern, highly developed province with a high growth rate, surpassing the high income threshold in the top group of the country.

The economy develops dynamically and is at the forefront of aviation economic development, high-tech industry, science and technology and innovation.

The economic and social infrastructure system, the urban system develops synchronously, modernly, intelligently, sustainably, and richly in identity, characterized by the development of international-class airport and ecological urban areas.

Cultural identity is preserved and promoted; ecological environment is protected and adapted to climate change; national defense and security are firmly ensured.

Economically, the province strives for an average growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the 2021-2030 period of about 10% per year. GRDP per capita by 2030 will reach about 14,650 USD.

Economic structure (GRDP) by 2030: Industry - construction accounts for 59% (of which manufacturing and processing industry accounts for 50%); service sector accounts for 29%; agriculture, forestry and fishery accounts for 6%; product taxes (excluding product subsidies) account for 6%.

Socially, the population size by 2030 will reach about 4 to 4.2 million people. The social labor productivity growth rate is 7%.

The rate of trained workers with certificates and degrees reached 40%. The unemployment rate remained below 2%.

The urbanization rate by 2030 will reach about 70%. 100% of communes and districts will meet advanced new rural standards; 3 districts will complete model new rural standards; 50% of communes will meet model new rural standards...

By 2050, Dong Nai strives to become a centrally-governed city, a leader in high-tech industrial development, with a synchronous, smart, and modern infrastructure system.

The province strives to be an international trade, tourism and service center associated with world-class urban areas, a place where intellectuals and talents gather, focusing on green economy and circular economy and achieving the goal of net zero emissions.

Social fields develop harmoniously; people have prosperous and happy lives. National defense, security, and social order and safety are firmly guaranteed.

Breakthrough Development Tasks

From now until 2050, Dong Nai province will carry out breakthrough tasks: Effectively exploit Long Thanh International Airport and implement the Bien Hoa dual-use airport project associated with the airport urban model;

Basically complete the framework of synchronous, modern, smart, climate change-adaptive infrastructure. Focus on transport infrastructure, irrigation, urban, energy infrastructure, digital infrastructure, healthcare infrastructure, education, and social security. Promote urban development associated with public transport orientation (TOD);

Building green industrial parks, converting existing industrial parks according to the roadmap to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions. Focusing on attracting investment in modern industrial projects with high added value, new technology, environmentally friendly, linked to the global value chain;

Building innovation centers, concentrated information technology zones, digital transformation projects, developing educational complexes and specialized training for the Southeast region;

Implementing high-class urban, tourism and resort service projects, focusing on developing urban - tourism - service areas adjacent to Long Thanh airport; Chua Chan mountain urban - tourism area, Nui Le lake; urban chain along Dong Nai river (priority given to Bien Hoa city area, Long Thanh district, Nhon Trach district).
