The amateur music movement (ĐCTT) is developing widely in Phung Hiep district. Currently, the locality has had many policies to care for and support ĐCTT clubs to operate more systematically. Besides providing spiritual food, it is also a foundation for serving tourism development in the future.
Thanks to the support of sound, musical instruments... the ĐCTT clubs in Phung Hiep district have more conditions for activities.
Clubs are fun!
While trying to adjust the sound of the new instrument that was just supported by the district, Mr. Le Van Sau, Chairman of the ĐCTT Club in Phung Son B Hamlet, Tan Long Commune, confided: “The club was established in May 2019. Initially, we had about 15 members, who were very passionate about ĐCTT participating in its activities. Up to now, the operating costs of the club have been contributed by the members themselves, but because of their passion, everyone has tried to overcome difficulties so that the club can maintain regular monthly activities. Understanding the difficulties of ĐCTT clubs in their activities, recently the District Department of Culture and Information has supported us with a set of equipment including an instrument and a modern speaker box.”
The Phung Son B hamlet’s ĐCTT club has more than 20 members aged 20-61 participating in regular activities. With the support of the locality in terms of equipment, the club has not only had better operating conditions, but also easily attracted young people to the ĐCTT art. “In addition to focusing on finding successors for ĐCTT, we also focus on consolidating and improving the quality of the club’s activities. Creating conditions for each member to have the opportunity to improve themselves and learn more from clubs right in the area. With the close attention of the locality, it will create a new wind, making the ĐCTT movement stronger and stronger”, Mr. Le Van Sau shared more.
Also receiving musical instrument support, a new instrument and sound box, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thuan, Head of the ĐCTT Club of Hoa Binh Hamlet , Kinh Cung Town, confided: “For a newly established club like us, when we receive support for equipment and sound, we are very happy. This will help the club have more conditions to operate better. Before, I thought that the ĐCTT Club was established for those who have a passion to participate in activities and exchange with each other, but now seeing the locality's support, everyone is very excited."
Not only does the ĐCTT Club in Hoa Binh Hamlet hold regular activities once a month, it also organizes rehearsals every Saturday night. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thuan, Chairman of the ĐCTT Club in Hoa Binh Hamlet, Kinh Cung Town, shared: “In order for the Club and the ĐCTT movement in the area to grow stronger, I think the cultural sector should organize training or refresher courses... so that club members can learn more. Because most of us learn to sing through radio, the internet, television... and are not taught properly, it is very difficult to qualify to participate in major competitions or performances.”
Create momentum for the movement to grow
As part of the 2023 tourism development support plan in Phung Hiep district, the locality will allocate about 200 million VND from the budget to buy musical instruments and sound equipment to support the ĐCTT clubs. Because if the difficulties in operating equipment are overcome, it will create a premise for the clubs in each commune and town to develop more and more. Up to now, 6/15 ĐCTT clubs have been supported with musical instruments and sound equipment, each set of equipment is worth about 30 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Phung Hiep district, said: “The whole district has 15 amateur music clubs. In 2020 and 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, their activities encountered many difficulties. When they were established, there was no source of funding to maintain monthly activities, mainly from social mobilization sources, so the clubs encountered many difficulties. Therefore, we have consulted and proposed support for purchasing musical instruments and sound equipment to solve the immediate difficulties of the clubs.”
In addition to supporting musical instruments and sound, the District Department of Culture and Information is proposing a plan to support operating costs for the clubs. Local efforts in having policies to care for and support ĐCTT clubs not only help preserve and promote the type recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, but also create a healthy cultural playground for the people.
In order to improve and strongly promote the local ĐCTT movement in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Phung Hiep district, emphasized: “We consider the consolidation and improvement of cultural and artistic clubs in general, ĐCTT in particular, a regular and urgent task. In addition, the sector also focuses on promoting propaganda and promotion; training and fostering core human resources for the work of preserving and promoting the value of national intangible cultural heritage from the district to the grassroots level; organizing training, teaching, inviting experts to talk about ĐCTT...”.
The district has 15 ĐCTT clubs, up to now, 6/15 clubs have been supported with musical instruments, sound... each set of equipment is worth about 30 million VND. It is expected that in August, 3 more ĐCTT clubs will be supported with musical instruments and sound. |
