Accordingly, the Exam will be held from June 27 to June 30, 2023. The specific exam schedule is as follows:
June 27: In the morning, the invigilators meet at the examination site. In the afternoon, candidates complete the examination procedures in the examination room, correct errors (if any) and listen to the examination regulations.
June 28: In the morning, candidates will take the Literature exam (120 minutes). In the afternoon, candidates will take the Math exam (90 minutes).
June 29: In the morning, candidates will take the Natural Science exam (Physics 50 minutes; Chemistry 50 minutes and Biology 50 minutes) or Social Science exam (History 50 minutes; Geography 50 minutes and CivicEducation 50 minutes). In the afternoon, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam (60 minutes).
June 30: Reserve.
Regarding the exam registration process, from April 26 to April 28, 2023, high schools will provide candidates studying in grade 12 for the 2022-2023 school year with an account (the candidate's Citizen Identification Number or Identity Card; in case the candidate does not have a Citizen Identification Card, the personal identification number issued by the Public Security agency will be used; in case the candidate does not have Vietnamese nationality, the candidate's Passport number will be used instead) and a password to access the Exam Management System.
Candidates can try to register for the exam online on the Exam Management System immediately after being granted an account and password until April 30, 2023. Candidates need to keep the account information and password provided confidential to log into the Exam Management System from the time of registration until viewing the exam results and considering recognition of high school graduation. To keep information confidential, candidates should change their password immediately upon receiving their account and password. In case candidates forget their account and password, they can contact the Exam Registration Unit to have them reissued.
The registration period is from May 4 to 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2023. Candidates currently studying in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year can register online or in person. Independent candidates can register in person.
After completing the entry of exam registration data on the exam management system, the exam registration unit prints the candidate's information from the exam management system, assigns it to the homeroom teacher or the person assigned to organize for students to review and sign for confirmation. No later than 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2023, the exam registration units must complete the entry of exam registration files for independent candidates. The Department of Education and Training must complete the review of candidates' reserved scores and correct errors in the exam registration files (if any) no later than May 19, 2023.
No later than June 6, 2023, the units registering for the exam must complete the following tasks: Collect the High School Graduation Recognition Registration Form, High School Graduation Recognition Application, and Priority Application for University and College Admissions; enter the High School Graduation Recognition Data and Priority Application Data of the candidates into the Exam Management System.
Immediately after entering data, print candidate information from the Exam Management System, give it to the homeroom teacher or the person assigned to organize for students to review and sign for confirmation.
The units check the registration documents and documents related to the exam, consider the exam eligibility of each candidate, confirm the candidate's qualifications, decide not to allow candidates to take the exam if they do not meet the requirements and have valid documents; at the same time, notify the candidates directly.
Candidates who wish to apply for university admission must register their phone number and email when registering for the exam.
During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university or college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence according to regulations to enjoy priority in admission.
Candidates must submit documents and certificates of priority and incentives related to the recognition of high school graduation to the exam registration unit no later than May 31, 2023.
The exam registration unit is responsible for reviewing and looking up information provided by the national population database (on the Exam Management System) to confirm priority status according to the candidate's place of permanent residence.
Regarding registration for combined exams and component exams, candidates studying in grade 12 in the 2022-2023 school year can only register to take one combined exam (Natural Sciences or Social Sciences) to be considered for recognition of high school graduation. Independent candidates can only register to take component exams in the same combined exam. After the registration deadline, candidates cannot change the information about the exam or exam subjects they have registered for.
For the Foreign Language test, candidates can choose to take one of the following 7 languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German, Japanese and Korean. Candidates can register to take a Foreign Language test other than the Foreign Language they are studying at high school. Candidates who are continuing education students can register to take the Foreign Language test to get the results for university and college admission.
