Active review for 12th grade students

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place at the end of June. High schools in the province have proactively developed early teaching and review plans to consolidate knowledge and practice test-taking skills for 12th grade students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Duy Tien B High School has 427 12th grade students. To proactively teach and review knowledge for 12th grade students, the school has developed a teaching plan from the beginning of the school year; assigning teachers with solid expertise and experience to be assigned as homeroom teachers and teach graduation exam subjects.

Teacher Tran Manh Quyet, Vice Principal of Duy Tien B High School, said: With the goal of maintaining a 100% high school graduation rate, the school has developed a review plan for students from March 3 to June 19, divided into 2 phases. In which, phase 1 from March 3 to May 11 focuses on reviewing topics; phase 2 from May 12 to June 19 focuses on practicing questions, correcting mistakes, and training skills for students during the exam. The team of teachers assigned to review are enthusiastic, responsible, and voluntarily review for students for free 2 periods/subject/week to help students grasp knowledge and be confident in the subjects they choose.

As a teacher assigned to teach Literature for grade 12, teacher Chu Thi Thanh Huong actively researches documents and teaching methods to be able to impart the best knowledge to students before entering the exam. Ms. Huong shared: This year's graduation exam has many new points. All subjects have changes in the exam structure. For Literature, the newest point compared to graduation exams in previous years is that the exam content may not use materials in textbooks. In addition, the review time is shorter. Therefore, in the teaching process, teachers always try to help students grasp the characteristics of the genre of the texts so that they can read and understand the meaning of the texts; guide students to proactively review their learning methods by closely following the illustrated exam questions, updating knowledge and applying social understanding to write good paragraphs or social argumentative essays; remind students to divide their time reasonably for both the reading comprehension and writing sections when taking the exam...

This year, Binh Luc A High School has 389 candidates taking the graduation exam. According to the school's leaders, up to now, the school's review work for the 2025 high school graduation exam has ensured the set plan. With many years of achieving a 100% graduation rate, the school is implementing many solutions towards the highest exam results. The school organizes review sessions every morning of the week after students finish the school year program to continue practicing and consolidating knowledge to best prepare for the exam. Subject groups develop specific review plans for each stage, closely following the sample exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET); review content is clearly divided by topic, subject, ensuring coverage of knowledge from basic to advanced. Subject groups are assigned experienced and highly specialized teachers to guide students in effective review.

Along with focused review, teachers of subjects at A Binh Luc High School also focus on differentiated teaching to serve students who only take the high school graduation exam and students who take both the graduation exam and university and college entrance exams; innovate review and testing methods, focusing on guiding students to self-study. At the same time, review and detect students with weak academic performance, especially in subjects that students choose to take the graduation exam, on that basis, develop a training plan for them through regular classes, review hours, and assign homework... During the review process, the school regularly checks and evaluates the quality and progress of students; organizes 2 mock exams in mid-May and early June to help students consolidate and systematize their knowledge, get acquainted with new exam structures; practice test-taking skills and get acquainted with the exam psychology. Thereby, there are more appropriate instructions and adjustments in the review work.

The school also disseminated to parents the content of Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning; notified parents of adjustments to the school's educational plan, especially educational activities for the 2025 high school graduation exam; coordinated with parents in managing, reminding, and encouraging students to actively and proactively review in class and self-study at home...

The 2025 high school graduation exam in Ha Nam province has a total of 10,480 candidates registered for the exam, an increase of 803 candidates compared to 2024. Of which, 10,242 candidates registered for the exam under the 2018 General Education Program (including: 10,122 candidates studying in grade 12; 120 independent candidates who have graduated); 238 candidates registered for the exam under the 2006 General Education Program (including: 228 candidates who have graduated, 10 candidates who have not graduated). The whole province has 24 exam sites with an expected number of 503 official exam rooms (an increase of 83 rooms compared to 2024) and 48 waiting rooms.

In the exam, candidates will take exams in 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects: Math, Literature and 2 elective subjects from the remaining subjects studied in grade 12 (Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology). The Literature subject will be tested in essay form, the remaining subjects will be tested in multiple choice form. In order to achieve high results in this year's high school graduation exam, schools have closely followed the program, reference questions, exam structure, organized mock exams; at the same time, differentiated and adjusted the students taking the exam according to their abilities.

To prepare well for the exam, based on the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training has developed a plan, guidance documents, and a plan for organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam; provided training on the use of high school graduation exam software for educational institutions; directed the study of exam regulations and exam procedures at units and schools for cadres, teachers, students, and trainees, focusing on clarifying new points about the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. At the same time, well prepared conditions for human resources, facilities, machinery, security cameras, and equipment for printing exam papers; ensured security and safety in preserving exam papers, exam papers, and throughout the exam process; All levels, sectors, schools and the whole society continue to expect that the 2025 high school graduation exam in the province will take place safely, seriously and achieve high results.
