At 7:00 p.m. on June 9, the low pressure area was located at approximately 16.7–17.7 degrees North latitude; 114.7–115.7 degrees East longitude.

In the next 24 hours, the low pressure area will move slowly to the West and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.

In addition, the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago), the Central and South East Sea (including the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau , Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind of level 6-7 and waves over 2m high.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 2909/BNNMT-DD, dated June 9, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ; to proactively respond to low pressure areas in the East Sea and strong winds at sea, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the People's Committees of coastal districts, towns and cities and relevant Departments, branches and units to closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of low pressure areas that are likely to strengthen into tropical depressions; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and ensure safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle possible bad situations.

Prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.

Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio - Television increase the time to report news and articles about the developments of heavy rain to authorities at all levels and people.

The provincial Hydrometeorological Station closely monitors, forecasts, warns, and promptly informs about developments of heavy rain to proactively deploy response measures.

Organize on-duty seriously, regularly report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Command for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Standing Office of the Provincial Command for Civil Defense, Incident Response, Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue.
