Chu Prong creates jobs for 8,089 workers

According to the report of Chu Prong district, in the period of 2021-2023, the district coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize 13 job fairs in communes and towns with the participation of 13,000 workers. The district also guided and supported workers in need of loans from the National Employment Fund through the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to set up production development projects to create jobs for workers. As a result, the number of workers with new jobs in 2021 was 2,650, reaching 100% of the plan; in 2022 it was 2,689, reaching 100.34% of the plan and in 2023 it was 2,750, reaching 100% of the plan.

Along with that, the district has 996 workers trained in vocational skills under Sub-project 3, Project 5 under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2025. The District Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center cooperates with Chu Prong Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. and Truong Hai Gia Lai Cattle Breeding Co., Ltd., Trung Nguyen Gia Lai Cattle Breeding Co., Ltd. to provide vocational training for 243 local workers to work at the companies.

At the meeting, Chu Prong district proposed that the Provincial People's Council consider and direct the provincial departments and branches to promptly study and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to adjust, amend and supplement Decision No. 18/2027/QD-UBND dated May 12, 2017 so that the implementation of the vocational training program in the coming time will be more favorable and achieve higher results. Prioritize policies on developing industry, small-scale industry, building industrial parks to develop the economy and create jobs for local workers. Increase funding to support short-term vocational training for rural workers; continue to disburse capital according to the annual vocational training and employment target program to promote vocational training and create jobs for workers.

At the meeting, the members of the monitoring delegation clarified the data in the report; discussed the recommendations and proposals of the district to serve as a basis for the monitoring delegation to submit to the Provincial People's Council solutions in vocational training and job creation for workers, especially increasing the rate of trained workers.

Speaking at the end of the working session, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council Huynh The Manh requested the People's Committee of Chu Prong district to continue to complete the report so that the data is accurate and consistent; supplement data on the annual targets of trained workers and workers with jobs created in the district, on which basis the implementation results can be evaluated. In order for vocational training and job creation to be sustainable, units in the district must develop targets, plans and implementation measures that are close to the needs of workers.
