Pleiku: Rewarding 87 groups and individuals for studying and following Uncle Ho

Attending the conference were comrade Pham Huy Toan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; comrades of the Standing Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and agencies, departments, branches, and political organizations of the city; secretaries of grassroots Party organizations under the City Party Committee and typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

The implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW and Conclusion 01-KL/TW has become a regular and voluntary task in the awareness and action of each cadre, party member and people of Pleiku City. Party committees, party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have all developed full-term and annual plans on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, in accordance with the characteristics of each agency and unit.

The development and implementation of the plan to study and follow Uncle Ho's example are closely linked to patriotic emulation movements and revolutionary actions at each level, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere from the city to the grassroots. In particular, the implementation of the Directive and Conclusion is effectively integrated with the Resolution of the 12th City Party Congress (term 2020-2025), thereby contributing significantly to the excellent completion of the set political tasks.

The Standing Committee of Pleiku City Party Committee focused on directing and grasping the ideological situation and public opinion, promptly and thoroughly resolving pressing issues at the grassroots level. From 2016 to the end of the first quarter of 2025, Party committees at all levels organized more than 4,000 meetings with citizens; People's Councils and People's Committees at all levels received more than 6,563 petitions and complaints, of which more than 95% were resolved within their authority.

Studying and following Uncle Ho is associated with local movements and campaigns such as urban beautification, new rural construction, mobilizing people to participate in building roads, sidewalks, lighting, planting flowers, etc. From 2020-2024, the city mobilized more than 1,164 households to donate over 48,000 m² of land to open roads and urban beautification. To date, 100% of main roads and commune and inter-commune axes have been concreted and asphalted; the lighting rate of main roads has reached 100%. The urban appearance is increasingly spacious and clean.

In particular, propaganda work has been carried out in many diverse forms, contributing to spreading the study and following of Uncle Ho throughout society. From 2016 to present, the city has honored 178 outstanding groups and 279 individuals; the grassroots level has honored hundreds of groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has included the inspection and supervision of the implementation of Directive 05 and Conclusion 01 in its annual work program, in conjunction with Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII), Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 and regulations on setting examples. Thereby, it correctly assesses the reality, points out limitations, and proposes solutions to continue effective implementation in the coming time.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, evaluating and clarifying the achievements, existing difficulties and solutions to continue to bring the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style into depth, creating a widespread influence in society.

Concluding the conference, the Pleiku City Party Secretary requested Party committees at all levels, localities and units to continue promoting propaganda, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in association with major events and holidays of the country, province and locality in many forms. At the same time, focus on replicating good models and effective practices throughout the Party.

Continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the contents of Directive 05-CT/TW and Conclusion 01-KL/TW, in conjunction with the implementation of Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Party Central Committee. Party committees at all levels need to proactively develop plans associated with annual programs, plans and tasks; clearly identify breakthrough contents, focus on directing timely and effective resolution of arising issues in localities, agencies and units, in order to create clear changes in studying and following Uncle Ho.

Along with that, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested that Party committees at all levels continue to improve the quality of Party cell and mass organization activities associated with organizing annual thematic activities. At the same time, strengthen the inspection and supervision of the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW, Conclusion 01-KL/TW associated with Conclusion 21-KL/TW and political tasks in each locality, agency, unit...

On this occasion, 29 collectives and 58 individuals were honored to receive certificates of merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
