Organizing the best quality exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh said that the Steering Committee was established under Decision No. 785/QD-TTg dated April 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister. The Steering Committee is assigned the following tasks: Advising and proposing specific and effective plans, solutions and methods to carry out the activities of the Exhibition; directing relevant ministries, agencies and localities to closely coordinate and focus on promptly resolving difficulties and problems during the implementation process.

Exhibition To be an event of special significance in preparation for key activities to celebrate the nation's 80th glorious anniversary, part of a series of large-scale activities of national and international stature, with profound political , cultural and social values.

To complete the large and elaborate workload, the Deputy Prime Minister requested delegates to discuss, review and agree on many important contents, including identifying and planning to clearly assign tasks to each ministry, department, branch and locality, ensuring close and effective coordination in the process of organizing the Exhibition.

At the meeting, after listening to representatives of ministries, branches and localities giving comments on the draft Exhibition project, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to absorb and complete the appropriate comments at the meeting, and assign the Government Office to draft a notice concluding the meeting.

The meeting gave the first opinion on the proposed Exhibition project; the final product of the Steering Committee is the project submitted to the competent authority for approval; on that basis, the organization will implement the Exhibition according to the approved project.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested members to closely follow the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Prime Minister (in Official Dispatch No. 57/CD-TTg dated May 5, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the preparation of the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, 2045 - September 2, 2025), accordingly, first: Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities urgently develop plans to exhibit socio-economic development achievements of their ministries, branches, and localities.

Direct specialized agencies to select data, images, and information that truthfully and vividly reflect the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of their sectors, fields, and localities over the past 80 years, especially the results achieved during the 40-year period of renovation and in the 2021-2025 term, and send them to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for synthesis.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides over, based on the registration and reports of ministries, branches, agencies and localities, to synthesize the general plan for organizing the Exhibition.

Regarding the draft Regulations on the organization and operation of the Exhibition Steering Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will promptly collect opinions from members of the Exhibition Steering Committee to complete the draft Regulations and submit them to the Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Steering Committee before May 20, 2025.

  Preparing for the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the Occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day

Regarding the development and completion of the draft project, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly collect opinions from members of the Exhibition Steering Committee to complete the draft project for organizing the exhibition and send it to the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission (the Standing Agency of the Central Steering Committee) to report and request opinions from the Standing Secretariat and Head of the Central Steering Committee.

The Deputy Prime Minister also gave his opinion on some major contents of the project, such as the theme, scale, premises and space for the exhibition. Regarding the budget and financial plan for implementation, based on the overall proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and ministries, branches and localities, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to synthesize and arrange resources for implementation, report to competent authorities for consideration and approval, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Emphasizing that the time from now until the Exhibition is not long, the scale is large, there are many tasks, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that members need to be highly determined, act decisively, and uphold the sense of responsibility to organize the Exhibition with the best quality.
