Integrating medical examination and treatment data, payment, biometrics and electronic identification through Kiosk not only helps improve transparency and information security but also serves as a solid foundation for developing smart hospitals, gradually forming a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem in the province.
In addition, Kios also helps patients and their families proactively register for medical examination quickly and conveniently, without having to wait in line, thereby reducing pressure on medical staff at the reception desk.

It is known that the Smart Medical Kiosk is deployed nationwide with the coordination between the Department of Administrative Police for Social Order ( Ministry of Public Security ), HDBank and technology units such as VNPT. In Quang Nam, the entire cost of deploying the Smart Medical Kiosk at Quang Nam Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital is sponsored by Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank).
According to a representative of Quang Nam Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the hospital has previously deployed many outstanding digital transformation models such as: medical examination and treatment using chip-embedded Citizen Identification Cards and VNeID application, online residence declaration via ASM platform, integrating Electronic Health Book and electronic health insurance card on VNeID.
In addition, the unit is also gradually completing the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with the provisions of Circular 46/2018/TT-BYT. The software system currently in use includes: HIS (medical examination and treatment information management), LIS (testing), RIS/PACS (diagnostic imaging) and EMR (electronic medical records).
