Cambodian People's Party President Hun Sen to pay official visit to China

Cambodia News Agency (AKP) reported on November 30 that President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen will lead a high-level delegation on an official goodwill visit to China next week, at the invitation of the Communist Party of China.

According to a press release on the morning of November 30 from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during his visit from December 2-4, Mr. Hun Sen will have a bilateral meeting with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, as well as separate meetings with Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China Zhao Leji.

“As the Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year is coming to an end, Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s first visit to China as President of the Senate will inject new impetus into consolidating the solid friendship, promoting cooperation in the comprehensive strategic partnership with the aim of deepening the diamond cooperation and promoting the building of a high-quality, high-level and high-standard Cambodia-China community of shared future in the new era,” the press release stressed.

The press release stated that Mr. Hun Sen was accompanied by Mr. Tea Banh, member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the King of Cambodia, Vice President of the CPP and Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Head of the CPP Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Committee; along with senior officials of the Senate, ministers and senior officials of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
