According to the content of the telegram, in order to serve the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2 and important events of the city, the Chairman of Hanoi requested units to focus on implementing a number of key tasks.
City leaders requested the Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited and environmental sanitation maintenance units to increase the frequency of garbage collection, street washing, and misting to suppress dust on main streets, public areas, and residential areas that often generate garbage, dust, and environmental pollution.
Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited has arranged adequate and reasonable public trash bins of the right size in residential areas, public areas, and main roads, preventing the situation of garbage being left behind or dumped on the road or sidewalk.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for reviewing and developing flexible and effective operation plans for centralized waste treatment areas (Nam Son and Xuan Son) to ensure continuous and safe waste reception and treatment. At the same time, it will facilitate the transportation of waste to waste-to-energy plants to reduce the amount of waste treated by landfilling, and prevent backlog and congestion.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment monitors and strictly controls the amount of waste processed daily to ensure accuracy and efficiency; coordinates with the Department of Planning and Architecture and the People's Committees of communes and wards to review and arrange garbage collection locations and garbage trucks to ensure suitability and not affect the urban landscape.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to continue advising on the innovation of equipment and means for environmental sanitation; investing in modern machinery, applying new technology in waste collection and transportation. At the same time, promoting investment in management technology, installing surveillance camera systems at waste "black spots" and building a digital data platform to effectively and transparently serve the management and operation of urban environmental sanitation.
This Department is assigned to direct the strengthening of sanitation and road surface irrigation on key routes (central areas, routes at risk of pollution due to high traffic volume).
Head of the city Hanoi Request the Department of Agriculture and Environment to guide and urge the monitoring of air and surface water quality in key rivers and lakes; promptly issue warnings when detecting the risk of pollution exceeding the permissible threshold.
