As reported by the People's Representative Newspaper, this morning, December 1, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended and delivered a speech at the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the National Political Publishing House Truth (December 5, 1945 - December 5, 2025).

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the National Political Publishing House Truth.

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged, commended and congratulated the great achievements that generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the National Political Publishing House have achieved over the past 80 years.

After 80 years of construction and growth, the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged that the Truth National Political Publishing House has increasingly developed, deserving to be a trusted address, a core theoretical and political book publishing agency of the Party and State; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; united, creative, constantly innovating, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.

"The Publishing House has always affirmed its pioneering role on the ideological and theoretical front, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Through a system of specialized publications, forums, seminars, scientific discussions and propaganda activities, the Publishing House has proactively oriented public opinion, protected the correctness, revolution and science of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, fought to defeat the plot to distort and deny the Party's leadership role, and sabotage the great national unity bloc," the National Assembly Chairman stated.

Many major books and series published by the Publishing House have served the cause of comprehensive national renovation, contributing to improving the Party's leadership and governing capacity, and building a clean and strong political system. Many publications have profound theoretical and practical significance, becoming important documents serving the research, study, and training of political theory for cadres and party members.

In addition, scientific research work is focused on and enhanced, closely linking theoretical research and practical summary; proactively advising, participating in building and implementing many valuable scientific research topics.

The publishing house has actively organized the translation and publication in many foreign languages of typical books, effectively serving the foreign information work, introducing the image of the country and people of Vietnam to the world; expanding international relations in a practical and in-depth direction, selecting to translate and publish many valuable publications of foreign authors and publishers, contributing to providing knowledge, the quintessence of world culture, theory and practice, international experience for reference and application in building and developing the country.

Emphasizing that the tasks of the Publishing House in the coming time are very large, demanding but also very glorious, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested a number of orientations for the National Political Publishing House Truth to pay attention to and perform well in the coming time.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Publishing House to continue to strongly innovate the work of editing, publishing, and distributing, ensuring standards, science, modernity - profound in theory but at the same time close and easy to receive. Political theory books must enter life, reach every cadre, party member and people. Continue to improve the quality of publications, ensure scientific and correct political viewpoints, effectively serve the cause of innovation, rapid and sustainable development of the country.

Each page of a book must be an "ideological fence", each work must be a "theoretical fortress", convincing with knowledge, science, reason and truth", the National Assembly Chairman stated.

Along with that, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Publishing House to promote comprehensive digital transformation, taking digital transformation as a driving force, creating strong development steps. Step by step digitization, standardization, expanding the space for knowledge reception to all cadres, party members and people; applying new technology, artificial intelligence, big data to the editing - publishing - archiving - dissemination process; developing a multimedia publishing system, building digital libraries, electronic bookcases, and unified use throughout the Party, the entire political system and society. Political books can be read - listened - viewed - studied on many different digital platforms.

The Publishing House's publications play an important role in educating, opening up knowledge, enlightening the minds of the people and are sharp political and ideological weapons, condemning colonialism and imperialism, propagating Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's guidelines, arousing patriotism, building the great national unity bloc, combining spiritual strength with the strength of the times, encouraging and motivating the entire people to participate in the revolutionary cause, fighting for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

During the resistance war against the French colonialists, operating in the Viet Bac resistance zone, with countless difficulties and hardships, the staff of the Publishing House did not fear danger, closely following the reality of the resistance war to promptly publish valuable revolutionary documents and works to guide ideology and encourage the spirit of the entire people to participate in the resistance war. From the first book of the Publishing House, the Communist Party Manifesto, along with political theory works, it aroused the belief, ideals and will to fight for independence and freedom of our people. Each book published during this period was not only the crystallization of intelligence and patriotism but also a vivid demonstration of the power of culture and ideology in the cause of national liberation.

After the Dien Bien Phu victory, the North entered the transitional period to socialism, and the Publishing House was assigned new tasks. This was a period that marked the remarkable growth of the Publishing House, demonstrated through the organization of compilation, translation and publication of many large-scale classic books with fundamental theoretical values such as Complete Works of Marx and Engels, Complete Works of Lenin and important political theory publications, contributing to the construction of socialism in the North and the struggle to liberate the South and unify the country.

With great contributions to the revolutionary cause, the National Political Publishing House Truth was honored to receive the Labor Medal from President Ho Chi Minh, and the Party and State awarded noble awards such as the Gold Star Medal, two Ho Chi Minh Medals, and the title of Labor Hero.
