Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee directed to strengthen inspection and supervision of response work to storm No. 5

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 5 (KAJIKI) is expected to make landfall on the morning of August 25, 2025 with an intensity of level 14 (150 - 166 km/h), gusting to level 17. Bac Ninh province will be affected by the far northern edge of the storm's circulation, causing moderate to heavy rain in the coming days.

To proactively respond to the storm, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Party committees at all levels, local authorities, the Fatherland Front and provincial organizations to strengthen inspection and supervision of response work to storm No. 5 (Kajiki), not to be negligent or subjective, and to minimize the damage caused by the storm.

Departments and agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television, and Provincial Information Center, according to their functions and tasks, strengthen information work and deploy measures to direct response to storm No. 5 (KAJIKI).

The People's Committees of communes and wards proactively inform the Party Committees, Party cells and all the people about the developments of the storm; organize inspections, reviews and practical implementation of plans for dike protection, flood prevention, landslide prevention; protect key areas and locations where incidents have occurred but have not been handled. Prepare human resources, materials, means and equipment for dike protection; proactively respond to incidents and situations that may occur according to the "4 on-site" motto, ensuring safety for dike routes and areas at risk of floods and landslides.

Report the results of implementing storm response tasks and damage situation (if any) to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (through the Irrigation Sub-Department) for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.

Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment to synthesize the implementation results of the Departments, agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and the People's Committees of communes and wards to report to the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee before 13:00 every day.
