The cooperation results between localities of the two countries have clearly demonstrated that this is a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" relationship, nurtured and built on the spirit of enhancing cultural exchange, promoting trade, investment, tourism , and strengthening friendship.

Currently, Japan ranks second with 16 projects, total registered investment capital of over 2.77 billion USD, accounting for 16.25% of the total FDI capital of the province out of 20 countries and territories in the world with investment projects in Quang Ninh. Cooperation activities in the field of education and training are also increasingly going into depth. Japanese organizations have also implemented effective support programs for Quang Ninh in implementing green growth and sustainable development orientations.
