The trend of taking early Christmas photos is becoming popular, giving young people more time to prepare their outfits, edit photos and post them on social networks without worrying about crowded scenes near the holiday.
In the last days of November, the center of Ho Chi Minh City becomes bustling with the typical red, white, and green colors of Christmas. Large shopping centers such as Diamond Plaza, Takashimaya, Van Hanh Mall... have simultaneously put on a new look, creating a colorful "decoration race", attracting many young people to capture moments of the festive season.
Hoang Linh (21 years old) shared: "The festive atmosphere this year is wonderful. Wearing beautiful clothes and going to places with splendid Christmas decorations makes me very happy, I also hope to have beautiful photos to post on social networks."
As the weather in Ho Chi Minh City begins to get chilly, many young people prioritize "European-style winter" outfits such as red dresses, wool coats, scarves, short boots and Christmas-themed accessories to match the festive atmosphere.
From 6pm to 9pm is the time when most young people gather to take pictures, when the decorative lights are fully turned on, creating the most sparkling effect. On weekends, the number of people flocking here is twice as large as usual.
Many young couples also took the opportunity to capture emotional moments amidst the sparkling decorations, wearing matching clothes and enjoying the excitement as Christmas approached.
Ms. Ally (27 years old, Filipino nationality) and her boyfriend excitedly reviewed the photos they had just taken. She said she had lived in Vietnam for more than 6 years and always felt the hustle and bustle of major holidays, so she chose to check-in for Christmas early to avoid the crowds.
At early Christmas check-in points, street vendors selling Christmas toys and accessories have also become bustling. With reasonable prices, many young people have chosen to buy them as "virtual life props".
These days, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City is quite pleasant in the evening, no rain, low humidity, favorable for outdoor activities.
The Christmas check-in space is decorated with red, white, and green as the main colors, combined with LED lights and familiar miniatures such as pine trees, giant gift boxes, reindeer sleighs, and Santa Claus models.
Most young people prefer places with European, classic decoration style, adding snow machines to create a realistic feeling.
Many families also take advantage of their free evenings to stroll around the streets together, immersing themselves in the Christmas atmosphere that is gradually appearing, creating a cozy space and a feeling of reunion typical of each year-end season.
The Christmas atmosphere is spreading rapidly on many streets in Ho Chi Minh City. For young people, checking in for Christmas is not only to take beautiful photos, but also a way to "recharge" and enjoy the end of the year moments. It is expected that as the holiday approaches, Christmas decorations will continue to attract a large number of people to enjoy and record moments of the festive season.
