On the morning of July 1, the Provincial Coordination Committee for the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation in protecting and exploiting tourism resources of Ban Gioc (Duc Thien) waterfall, Vietnam - China (Provincial Coordination Committee) held a meeting to report the results of the 12th meeting between the Standing Office of Cao Bang (Vietnam) and the Inter-sectoral Working Group of Guangxi (China). The results of the 12th meeting between the two sides of the Standing Office of Cao Bang (Vietnam) and the Inter-sectoral Working Group of Guangxi (China) agreed on the official operation of the Landscape Area and reached common understandings: Regarding the closed management of the Landscape Area on the Vietnamese side, building physical fences at the mountain climbs, flat sections, not less than 600 m, installing control booths at the main axes, main crossings with not less than 5 booths, the hillside area, gently sloping mountains will install additional suitable barriers, in the closed management, install not less than 50 cameras, at the same time ensure the normal operation of surveillance cameras...

Official operation time (9:00 Beijing time or 8:00 Hanoi time) on September 15, 2024; Tourist management form (limited to 20 people/group, each side controls 1,000 people/day; time from 8:00 Hanoi time (9:00 Beijing time) to after 14:00 Hanoi time (15:00 Beijing time). Tourists crossing the border are not allowed to stay illegally; tour, tourist route, on the Vietnamese side from the tourist check-in area across the Scenic Area - Ban Gioc waterfall foot area - Saigon Hotel - Truc Lam Buddhist Temple - objective tourist check-in area at the Scenic Area - back to the Chinese side. Scope of tourist route on the Chinese side, from the check-in area across the Scenic Area - waterfall area across the border of Duc Thien - shopping street - high waterfall viewing point - scenic route and scenic grounds - check-in area across the Scenic Area - back to the Vietnamese side; type of documents used to enter and exit the Scenic Area; cost of cross-border services, both sides agree on the costs of experiencing tourism products Different schedules will be collected according to actual standards; facilitate entry and exit procedures; about the permanent management unit of the Landscape Area; cooperation mechanism; plan to organize the official operating ceremony of the Landscape Area.

At the meeting, departments, branches and sectors discussed and proposed plans to continue to synchronously complete infrastructure; relocate people, develop reasonable resettlement plans to clear the ground to build a closed fence on schedule; build more unique Cao Bang cultural tourism products; create space for sales points in the Ban Gioc waterfall area to ensure aesthetics; build a cultural and artistic exchange program between the two countries; ensure security, order and national border sovereignty in accordance with conditions, and convince the other country...

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh directed members of the Provincial Coordination Committee, relevant departments, branches and sectors, based on the tasks of the unit and the results of the 12th meeting between the Standing Office of Cao Bang (Vietnam) and the Inter-sectoral Working Group of Guangxi (China), to speed up the implementation of tasks on infrastructure construction, new and unique tourism products, OCOP products; ensure security and order; relocate people, build closed fences and other infrastructure to ensure progress and compliance with border regulations.

Putting the Ban Gioc Waterfall Scenic Area (Cao Bang, Vietnam) - Duc Thien (Guangxi, China) into tourism exploitation is not only an important task of Cao Bang province but also a symbolic project for the spirit of friendly cooperation and development between Vietnam and China, moving towards raising the level of international activities.
