Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspects projects in Chi Lang district

- On March 28, the Working Group inspected, directed the resolution, removal of difficulties, obstacles, and handling of projects in the province, led by Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Working Group No. 1, to inspect, direct the resolution, removal of difficulties, obstacles, and handling of investment and construction projects in Chi Lang district.

Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the project of the Southeast Urban Area of Dong Mo town, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province.

According to the report of Chi Lang District People's Committee, In the district, there are 6 investment projects, all of which are behind schedule, including projects that have lasted for many years without being completed.

The main reasons are problems with site clearance; land compensation prices; no resettlement areas; investors have not completed some legal procedures related to the project; limited financial capacity of some investors, etc.

During the inspection, representatives of several departments, branches, the People's Committee of Chi Lang district and project investors discussed and clarified difficulties affecting the progress of investment projects; proposed and recommended solutions to remove difficulties so that the projects could continue to be implemented.

The investor of the Southeast Urban Area project of Dong Mo town proposed some contents related to the project at the inspection session.

Investors proposed and recommended to Working Group No. 1 a number of contents such as: requesting relevant departments and branches of the province and the People's Committee of Chi Lang district to guide the completion of legal procedures related to the projects; supporting investors in site clearance.

Concluding the inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee pointed out: The slow site clearance and resettlement area construction have affected the progress of project implementation. This responsibility belongs to the People's Committee of Chi Lang district and investors, especially the investors of the Urban Area project in the Southeast of Dong Mo town and the Urban Area project in the East of Dong Mo town.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: Chi Lang District People's Committee and investors to focus on implementing measures to complete site clearance for projects being invested in the area. In particular, the People's Committee of Chi Lang district must complete the site clearance for the Dong Banh Industrial Park traffic project (phase 2) in September 2025; complete the site clearance for the project to open a new inter-commune road from Chi Lang town to Y Tich commune in June 2025; complete the entire area that needs site clearance for the Southeast Urban Area project of Dong Mo town in 2025...

For project investors, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to focus resources, coordinate with relevant agencies, and the People's Committee of Chi Lang district to speed up implementation progress.

In particular, along with close coordination with the People's Committee of Chi Lang district to carry out site clearance, investors must proactively coordinate with provincial departments and branches to complete related legal procedures, especially focusing financial resources to quickly build resettlement areas for households affected by the projects.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor of the Southeast Urban Area project of Dong Mo town to complete the procedures for adjusting the policy. Project investment before April 15, 2025; require the investor of the Eastern Urban Area project of Dong Mo town to complete the construction of the resettlement area in the second quarter of 2025; investors of the remaining projects must focus on overcoming the limitations pointed out.
