Reporting on the progress of the work of reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units at the commune level, Chairman of Binh Tan District People's Committee Nguyen Trung Anh said that the district has completed the construction and submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Organizing Committee a plan to arrange leaders, civil servants, and workers to work in 5 new wards.
Along with that, a plan was developed to arrange and rename neighborhoods, collect opinions from the community, and synthesize and report the results according to regulations.
The district has compiled a list of civil servants who wish to retire with a total of 45 civil servants; submitted it to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs for appraisal of the list of civil servants who wish to retire and the support policies according to regulations for 33 civil servants.
Regarding the preparation of conditions for the new ward to operate, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Tan District said that he has reviewed, edited, arranged, and centralized archived records to prepare for transfer to competent authorities. Statistics and proposals for handling and using public assets, public housing and land addresses after the arrangement to prepare for transfer to competent authorities.
Regarding the operating headquarters of the new wards after the arrangement, the district has surveyed the current status of the working headquarters and proposed facilities and equipment to serve the working activities of the 5 new wards after the arrangement.
The socio -economic situation in the district since the beginning of the year has continued to have positive changes. Of which, the total production value reached 48,472 billion VND, up 11.9% over the same period. The number of new investment units reached 4,239 production and business units, up 16.7% over the same period.
Total state budget revenue was VND2,065.9 billion, reaching 48.1% of the annual target and increasing by 2.6% over the same period. Total social investment capital reached about VND17,769 billion, reaching 77.2% of the annual plan.
The district also disbursed more than VND 1,480 billion/VND 3,392 billion of public investment capital, reaching 43.6% of the plan. It is expected that by the end of June 2025, the disbursement will reach VND 1,600 billion, reaching 47.1%. Along with that, the district completed the documents and submitted for approval the investment policy of 44/59 medium-term public investment projects for the period 2026 - 2030.
In addition to positive results, Binh Tan district is also facing difficulties and problems beyond its authority that need to be resolved by Ho Chi Minh City. These difficulties and problems are mainly concentrated in business and commercial projects, public investment projects, and management and use of public land and houses in the district.
Specifically, these are the Vinh Loc residential area project (Binh Hung Hoa B ward) invested by District 5 Public Service LLC; the Vinh Loc Industrial Park project invested by Cho Lon Import-Export and Investment LLC; the granting of land use right certificates at the Phu Lam C expanded residential area project invested by Thu Thiem Real Estate JSC; the project to build infrastructure and improve the environment of Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Rach Nuoc Len canal....
