According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism , in order to meet the increasing travel demand of people during the peak summer season of 2024, airlines have made efforts to optimize their fleets, service personnel, and increase a series of night flights, thereby contributing to lowering airfares. However, in reality, night flights are not really attractive to passengers, many flights have to be canceled.

Implementing the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, from June 20, the Department coordinated with the City Tourism Association and Vietnam Airlines Corporation to organize a meeting with travel businesses and tourist accommodation establishments on cooperation to promote tourists to use night flights in Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, Vietnam Airlines Corporation encourages tourist accommodation establishments to participate in building a product package combining air tickets (some routes with reasonable and attractive prices with times before 06:00 am and after 21:00 pm) by offering free or 80% discount for the first night (minimum stay of 03 nights).

As of July 8, 16 tourist accommodation establishments in the city have registered to participate with a reduction of 20 - 100% of room rates for the first night according to the listed price; from the second night, the listed price will apply or a 60% reduction according to the listed price (depending on each unit, the policy and applicable conditions are regulated differently).

For example, Dong Khanh Hotel reduces 100% of the first night's room rate, from the second night, 100% of the room rate is charged; The Myst Hotel reduces 49% of the first night's room rate, from the second night, 53% (Dong Khoi room type - 30 room nights), services include breakfast buffet, mini afternoon tea buffet every day from 2-4 pm, free use of pool, gym, sauna, steam bath; Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel promotes 45% of the first night's room rate, from the second night, the listed price is applied, free one-way airport transfer by 7-seat car between 10-10 pm on the check-out day with a minimum stay of 3 nights.

Similarly, the Liberty Central Saigon hotel system (including Riverside, Citypoint, Centre) reduces 50% of the first night's room rate, from the second night onwards, the listed price applies; the A25 hotel system (6 locations) has 2 promotional packages: 2 days 2 nights, 50% off the first night's room rate and 20% off the second night; 3 days 3 nights package, 70% off the first night's room rate and 20% off from the second night.

Based on the registration of 16 units, Vietnam Airlines Corporation will proactively contact and work to build combo packages including round-trip air tickets and 2 or 3 nights of hotel accommodation in the city to attract more tourists to Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
