Careful preparation for the U11 Football Tournament and Dak Nong Marathon 2025

On the morning of April 9, the Organizing Committee of the U11 Children's Football Tournament - Dak Nong Newspaper Cup 2025 and the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands held a meeting to review work.

The first U11 Children's Football Tournament - Dak Nong Newspaper Cup took place, hosted by Dak Nong Newspaper, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Nong province, with the support and companionship from the People's Committees of districts and cities.

The tournament brings together 8 football teams, representing districts and cities in the province to compete.

Members of the Organizing Committee of the U11 Children's Football Tournament - Dak Nong Newspaper Cup 2025 and the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands attended a meeting to review work.

Participating players are primary school students, born from 2014 onwards, meeting requirements on academic performance, conduct and health.

The matches will be organized in the format of 5-a-side mini football and are expected to start in late May and early June 2025 in Gia Nghia City.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, requested that the agencies and member units of the Organizing Committee closely coordinate to ensure that all preparations for the two tournaments are promptly informed and handled.

Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands was held for the first time in Dak Nong province, hosted by Dak Nong Newspaper, in coordination with Vietpro Media Development Joint Stock Company, 5h30 Community - Healthy Every Day and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Nong province.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, informed about the running routes of the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering the Southern Central Highlands as well as giving comments related to ensuring the quality of the running routes and the volunteer force participating in logistics work.

The event will take place from May 31 to June 1, 2025 in Gia Nghia City, with an expected scale of about 4,000 professional and amateur athletes, journalists, reporters, people, and marathon clubs inside and outside the province. Athletes will compete in 5 distances: Kids Run (2km), 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.

Ms. Khuc Thi Thoi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, contributed comments on logistics, including medical support and accommodation for athletes participating in the tournament.

This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21); welcome the 13th Dak Nong Provincial Party Congress, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Mr. Phan Nhat Thanh, Director of the Provincial Department of Construction, gave comments on the design of running routes to ensure safety and suitability for athletes participating in the race as well as ensuring security and order during the tournament.

Thereby contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Dak Nong; responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" among the masses, contributing to improving health to serve study, work, production, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

Mr. Truong Van Binh, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, gave comments related to the youth union members participating in supporting the tournaments as well as the organization of youth booths and environmental protection programs associated with the tournaments.

The award also aims to mobilize the community's support and contributions to give gifts and houses to households with housing difficulties and the poor in the province with a total estimated value of about 300 million VND.

Mr. Thai Tuan Anh, Deputy Head of Department PA03, Provincial Police, requested to provide information about the running routes as well as the venues so that the unit can proactively coordinate, in order to ensure security, order and traffic safety throughout the tournament.

At the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee reviewed, exchanged and discussed contents related to the organization of the two tournaments such as: venue, arrangement of running tracks, logistics, accommodation for athletes and tourists,...

Mr. Vu Ngoc Tu, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, requested that member agencies and units actively coordinate to ensure that the tournaments are successful, safe, economical, and create a good impression of the land and people of Dak Nong.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Vu Ngoc Tu, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournaments, acknowledged the opinions and suggestions of the Organizing Committee members at the meeting.

Mr. Tu requested members, agencies and units to proactively and actively coordinate to ensure the tournaments are successful, safe and economical.

The tournaments must create a good impression of the land and people of Dak Nong in the hearts of the people, athletes and tourists when they come to attend.
