Best preparation for the Opening Ceremony of the National Achievement Exhibition

VHO - On the morning of August 21, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi), a working session took place to deploy preparations for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong chaired the meeting with the participation of representatives of relevant units and sub-committees.

At the working session, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong informed that the Exhibition has been basically completed, in time for the Opening Day.

The exhibition is large-scale and of great significance on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2nd, with the mobilization of departments, ministries, branches, provinces, cities and enterprises, and has been implemented quickly and systematically according to plan. The exhibition has received close attention from the Government with many timely dispatches directing the work, removing bottlenecks, demonstrating the importance of the event.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong presented the Draft Detailed Plan for organizing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the National Achievements Exhibition and assigned responsibilities to Subcommittees and individuals.

According to the Draft Plan, the National Achievements Exhibition will open at 9am on August 28 with an expected duration of 40 minutes including the following contents: Welcome performance, drum performance, announcement of reason, speeches by Party and State leaders, opening button pressing ceremony, and delegates visiting the Exhibition.

Overview of the working session

The closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 5 with an expected duration of 100 minutes, including the following contents: Summary speech by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, speeches by Party and State leaders, awards and concluding performances.

The opening ceremony rehearsal is at 9am on August 26. The event will be held outdoors – North yard of the Vietnam Exhibition Center.

The opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast live on VTV and broadcast live on VOV.

Guest delegates at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will include Party leaders, former Party and State leaders, departments, ministries and branches of provinces and centrally run cities; Embassies; Enterprises... The number of guests expected to attend the Exhibition Opening Ceremony is about 5,000 people.

Representatives of some units contributed comments

At the working session, based on the functions, tasks and assigned work of the agencies, units and sub-committees, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong assigned tasks to each agency, unit and individual to coordinate the implementation of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies in a specific manner "clearly identifying people, clearly identifying tasks and clearly identifying progress" with 5 main tasks: Content preparation; Foreign affairs; Security, order and health assurance; Opening and Closing Ceremony propaganda; Reception, logistics and celebration work.

In the assigned tasks, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong noted that the implementation of the plan to welcome guests must have synchronous and professional coordination with the assigned units.

The Deputy Minister also noted that traffic plans, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, security, food safety, and the rapid response team for first aid and emergency care at the Exhibition also need to be focused on and operate effectively.

Opinions presented by representatives of units at the meeting

At the meeting, representatives of units such as Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam , Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi Department of Health... gave some comments and suggestions to ensure the event takes place on schedule and achieves the highest quality.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the units assigned with tasks need to coordinate closely and prepare best for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as throughout the duration of the Exhibition. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties or problems, the agencies and Subcommittees should promptly report and inform the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for supplementation and adjustment.

Inside the Exhibition, items are continuing to be completed.

The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme “80 years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” is an event of special significance, honoring history and introducing the outstanding achievements of our Party, State and people in the process of protecting, building and developing the country over the past 80 years.

The exterior of the exhibition is also being completed quickly.

Through the Exhibition, the role of the Party, the management of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the entire nation in the cause of national construction and development are affirmed, contributing to promoting the strength of national solidarity. This important event is also an opportunity to promote the image of a dynamic, innovative Vietnam deeply integrated with the international community.
