Within the framework of a working trip to Japan from December 18 to 22, on the morning of December 19 (Japan time), Minister Nguyen Hong Dien chaired the Vietnam - Japan Business Forum 2024.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the ASEAN-Japan Center. This is an opportunity for businesses, leaders and experts from both countries to exchange, learn and explore new cooperation opportunities.

The Vietnam - Japan Business Forum 2024 will be held in Tokyo. The forum is an opportunity for businesses, leaders and experts from both countries to exchange, learn and explore new cooperation opportunities.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang also attended the Forum.

The forum attracted the participation of many leaders of the two countries and representatives of businesses from Vietnam and Japan.

At the beginning of the Forum, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien delivered an opening speech. The Minister emphasized that the Vietnam - Japan cooperation relationship is developing better than ever, in all fields.

However, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said that in the coming time, both the Vietnamese and Japanese economies will continue to face difficulties, so the two countries need to cooperate more closely and effectively, especially in the fields of trade, industry and energy...

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu spoke at the Forum. The Ambassador said that Vietnam-Japan relations have been constantly upgraded and are currently at their best. The two countries are expanding cooperation to new areas such as energy transition, digital transformation, and semiconductor technology...

Representatives of relevant businesses and ministries from Japan informed about the economic situation in Japan as well as introduced potential fields in which Vietnamese businesses can cooperate and invest.

In 2024, the total trade turnover between the two countries is expected to reach 47 billion USD, with more than 70% of Japanese enterprises expressing their desire to invest in Vietnam.

Vietnamese Business Representative speaks at the Forum

On the sidelines of the Vietnam - Japan Business Forum 2024, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien had short meetings and contacts with Japanese businesses.

Japanese businesses all expressed their desire to cooperate and invest in Vietnam.

Before the Vietnam - Japan Business Forum took place, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien had a meeting with the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan and leaders of the ASEAN - Japan Center.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan pledges to continue to act as a bridge, closely coordinating with relevant units to create the most favorable conditions for the development of businesses of the two countries.
