Hanoi has planned to become one of the leading tourist destinations in the region by 2045, with a synchronous infrastructure system, unique products and international competitiveness.

A series of large-scale cultural events and festivals in Hanoi such as the Tourism Gift Festival, Tourism Ao Dai Festival, Tourism Festival, Autumn Festival... will be organized professionally and uniquely in conjunction with the tourism stimulus program, offering many incentives on prices, services and enhancing experiences for tourists such as.

This is the plan for the Hanoi City Tourism Stimulus Program in 2025 that has just been approved, thereby promoting destinations, products, services and brands for the Capital.

Promote domestically and internationally

According to the plan, the Hanoi People's Committee will develop programs and product packages to stimulate domestic tourism, assigning relevant units to organize the program "Hanoi people and tourists experience services at 4-5 star hotels" associated with the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to encourage people and tourists to experience high-class services in the inner city.

In addition, tourism stimulus tours connecting destinations in the City are built in the direction of incentives, discounts, promotions, gifts, customer care, and improving service quality.

Notably, Hanoi will focus on organizing forums to attract international tourists and participate in the 12th TPO General Assembly in the second and third quarters of 2025; organize linkage and exchange activities to develop tourism products between the capital and key tourism localities across the country.

Responding to and accompanying the tourism promotion and promotion activities of the whole industry, Hanoi has plans for the market in key provinces and cities; Responding to the National Tourism Year 2025 in Hue and other localities; participating in international tourism fairs. At the same time, organizing activities to develop craft village tourism such as: International Craft Village Conservation and Development Festival 2025; Craft village product contest, proud of "Vietnamese agricultural products".

In the international market, Hanoi will introduce tourism in France, Italy, Switzerland; participate in international tourism fairs and events such as: ITB ASIA International Tourism Fair 2025 in Singapore; IMEX Frankfurt Fair 2025 in Germany; Tourism Expo Japan International Tourism Fair 2025 in Aichi, Japan; FTM Top Resa International Tourism Fair 2025 in France; participate in the European International Handicraft and Gift Fair 2025...

This year, communication and tourism promotion programs for the capital will be promoted on mass media systems; on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok; on Vietnam Airlines flights as well as LED screens at Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang international airports... to promote and introduce tourism stimulus products. In addition, the "Beautiful Photos of Hanoi Tourism" contest will be held to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam Tourism Day.

"Support" for tourism in the capital

2025 is the year of comprehensive transformation of Vietnamese tourism to enter a new development phase after the pandemic recovery with determination from the Government to management levels and localities. This roadmap wants to be fast, strong and sustainable, green tourism and digital transformation are identified as the "wings" of the entire industry.

Accordingly, the Department of Tourism will coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology and relevant departments, branches and units to implement: applying information technology in administrative reform activities related to the tourism sector; building and perfecting a smart tourism explanation system, utility software to support management, connecting with tourism businesses and serving tourists in looking up information; applying AI technology in tourism promotion and advertising; building high-tech tourism products such as 3D, flycam, mapping, virtual reality technology...

Post-inspection activities and implementation of measures to ensure security and safety for tourists and preserve a civilized and friendly tourism environment in the capital will be promoted.

Leaders of Hanoi's tourism industry affirmed that the goal of the Plan is to effectively implement the policies and orientations of the Central and the City, complete the assigned tasks of the tourism industry, contribute to achieving the target of GRDP growth of 8% or more in 2025 and promote sustainable tourism development, towards green tourism.

In addition, strive to welcome 31 million visitors, including 7.5 million international visitors; total revenue from tourism reaches about 130,000 billion VND.

In particular, in the development roadmap, industry leaders identified the above Plan together with the newly issued Tourism System Planning as important "supports" so that by 2045 Hanoi can become one of the leading tourist destinations in the region, with a synchronous infrastructure system, unique products and international competitiveness./.
