- On May 13, a working delegation of Military Region 1 led by Colonel Duong Van Quang, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 1, inspected the implementation of the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in Van Lang district. Accompanying them were leaders of the Lang Son Provincial Military Command.
Implementing the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister , Military Region 1 has implemented "Support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" for 10 policy households, meritorious people, poor and near-poor households, households affected by climate change in Thuy Hung commune, Van Lang district. Construction costs were supported by Company 86, Economic-Defense Group 799 with 600 million VND. Up to now, 5 houses have been completed, 3 houses are under construction, and 2 houses have been requested to change the subjects.
Through on-site inspections at families, the Deputy Director of Political Affairs of Military Region 1 emphasized: The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important task, contributing to improving people's lives, achieving the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security. He requested the Party Committee and authorities of Van Lang district to closely coordinate with the Provincial Military Command and the Fatherland Front at all levels to organize the reception of the supported money and allocate it to households to ensure publicity and transparency; at the same time, deploy and mobilize the participation and contributions of local militia forces, political and social organizations to support families and regularly check the construction progress to ensure the best quality. Strive to complete construction and hand over houses to households to move in before June 30, 2025.
